| From time immemorial people have summered
at this beach and watched this awesome sunset
in the evenings. The white shell beach at Montague Provincial Park on Galiano Island is actually the top layer of a midden that dates back at least 4000 years. This mural was commissioned by René Mahlow, Islander and patron of the arts. The mural is approximately ten feet square and was painted in February 2020. |
