This is a depiction of Calgary Bay on the Isle of Mull in Scotland, the origin of the name Calgary. The name was applied by Scottish Colonel MacLeod to the North West Mounted Police fort at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, the site of present day Calgary. The mural is part of a historical display in the foyer of Calgary City Hall .
