A homeowner was interested in giving distinction to a very ordinary piece of architecture by painting flowers on the side of the house. The design difficulty was to overcome the strong geometry of the shiplap pattern and the rectangular windows. The solution proved to be in the use of oversize flowers and deep space illusion toward the top that integrates with the light and shadows of the actual trees behind the house.
