"Sunday Afternoon at the Polo Match" commemorates a time when polo was a regular Sunday pastime on a field near the town. The game was introduced by the English visitors to the Prince of Wales' (later Edward VIII) ranch near High River. Local western horsemen developed considerable skill at the game and supplied worthy competition to their Old Country opponents. |
