In 2001 the Alberta Cattle Breeders Association sponsored a mural on the Calgary Stampede grounds.
The mural was to Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first Calgary Spring Purebred Cattle Sale held in 1901.

Later, in 2012, the 2001 mural was damaged when the building was demolished.
Susequently it was determined to have the mural re-painted on more durable material.
